Squirrelhunter91
Hey all. Took a vacation from work this week and was blessed with thunderstorms and fog. Its supposed to clear up by thursday but tomorrow is supposed to be breezy and foggy. Anyone have any tips for hunting gobblers in the fog? I know they head for the fields in the rain but I'm torn between the hardwoods and the fields. Any help is much appreciated.
ChrisSeb53
in my experiences... the turkeys i have hunted will stay on roost for a much longer period when there is a thick fog... when the fog cleared up a good bit, they would fly down and carry on with their normal routine
NiteRunner
It's a cool experience! Like Chris said, they stay on roost longer. One other thing I noticed was they don't go way out in the fields. They tend to stay close to the wooded edge or sometimes just inside the woods. Good Luck!
