Dawg
Am I the only one getting stoked up thinking about the upcoming seasons? As the temps get hotter and my fishing gets less, I tend to start thinking about and planning out my deer hunting season. I'm going to get the trail cam out, put some fresh batteries in it and see what I have coming around. Will try to do some trimming and cleaning up before it gets too hot. Looking forward to these two guys coming back around:
ruttinbuc
Oh, yea. The thought comes to mind most days. It will be here before you know it. I need to redo a few things in my spots on the mountain. I am hoping to get lucky again and pull a permit for the spot I got to hunt last year. In the meantime we'll tune up and try to keep in shape. The older you get the harder it seems.

Rhino
Sure...but I'll get more fired up after mid August...got a bowhunting trip coming up on the other side of the pond starting in 2 months. That's got my attention right now. Got some things done already on my home turf for this fall though before it got too hot during the month of May. Looking forward to this fall too since many of the mature bucks we got on trail cams last year survived.
Strut10
Now that turkey season is over, I start to think a bit about October & November. I won't start to get really fired up until I have some promising trailcam pics in the bag. Probably going to hang cameras today, BTW. There are a couple of bucks that I know survived last season, for sure, and one that I'm pretty sure of. When I get some pics of them, I'll be wound up pretty tight. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
I usually quit thinking deer around the end of December early January. I have other hobbies that I start focusing on. Right about now is when I slowly start getting back into it, watching the hunting shows, shooting, getting the cams ready to put out. I'm not in full deer mode until around August. But I am starting to get the itch right now.
