The_Kat
So I moved out of my apartment in PA, and came up north to Indiana, Pennsylvania for some jobs. With that I'm forced back into the whole hotel routine and these people up here are flat nuts! I'm paying 686$ a week for a plain room with only a fridge/microwave. I paid half that for a full kitchenette before. All the hotels are this same price...... The locals said it was much cheaper til the pipeline hit the town, and then they started jacking up their prices. Looks like it's back to dragging a travel trailer behind me......going shopping this week! I'll spend 15-20k on a trailer that I take home with me before I pay 2800$ a month for a hotel room that is no more mine when I leave than it was when I got here. wtnhunt
In such a poor economy would seem the hotel would be happy to be generating revenue and having customers that would be there for a while. Crazy a rate like that. Would have to find something else if it were me too. Good luck Kyle.
HUNTINGMAN
Sounds like they are throwing the shaft to the construction guys. I do beleive the travel trailer would be a good choice. That would give you a vacation tool as well as somewhere to spend the knights while deer hunting.
Shaun_300
Holy crap that's expensive!!! That sucks Kyle.
The_Kat
found a decent deal on a fairly nice lightweight trailer tonight. Haven't 100% sealed the deal, as I'm waiting to see if my home bank or their bank is gonna give me the best rate. Once I figure that out I'll prolly be picking it up Weds or Thurs. Quality Inn and Suites can kiss my behind.
texastrophies
Glad to hear you are close to making the move. For what you save on the hotel, you should just about be able to pay the TT off in a few months.
The_Kat
Signed for the trailer today. 32 Foot Gulfstream Emerald Bay with a rear living room. Has one super slide for the couch/dinette. Big water heater w/DSI. It's a 2006 and I got it + a weight distribution hitch for 11k out the door. Gonna try to pick it up Friday or Saturday. I'll get pics when I can. This is my second trailer. It's much nicer and lighter than the first one. I'm anxious to see what the new GMC will do with it.

The_Kat
What you rated to pull benji? I'm curious now.....
92xj
7.1k is what it's rated at, but there is no way I would ever pull that much with that truck. The new Tundras are rated to pull 10.1k. I never claimed I could haul more... But I am a way better driver and would put my driving skills against anyone of you american driven half ton fools!
