92xj
After years of trying different options and trying to figure out what I can get the best shave with, I believe I have finally come up with the best solution for me. I get one amazing shave with this combo. I have somewhat sensitive skin and used to have a few problems with razor burn and rashes on my neck during shaves, but havent had anything like that since using this set up for the past 6 months or so. So, what do you guys use for a good shave?
Dawg
I use the latter two on your list. I don't have girly skin.
92xj
so you shave without any cream, soap or gel? The latter two are a razor and aftershave.
Tominator
Been an electric guy for years. Razors tear up my throat area. Currently using a Braun.
Dawg
so you shave without any cream, soap or gel? The latter two are a razor and aftershave. Looked like a gel jar to me.......but yea, all I use is gel and razor.
HUNTINGMAN
I use my hunting knife and dry shave. NOT realy. I have never been a clean shaveing guy,I tried useing a razor and shaveing cream a couple of times and it just wasnt for me. I just use my beard trimmers without any guards on them and that is as close as my shave gets. Its not completetly smoothe but close enough to work, during the winter and as soon as deer season opens I start growing my full beard, this is the wifes leaste favorite time of year. Shaun_300
I also use the Gilette Fusion Proglide, non power though. Closest shave I've ever had, and no pull on the chin either! It's great! I don't shave everyday, usually once or twice a week.
Ethan Givan
I just use my beard trimmers without any guards on them and that is as close as my shave gets. This is what I do most of the time as well, because I just dont like shaving. I will shave sometimes though. When I do I use Gillette shaving gel, and cheap Gillette 4 blade razors. clrj3514
I'm not really that hairy but I'm an electric guy.
gzilla45
Never was a fan of shaving so I grew a beard a few years ago and have one ever since. Use a beard trimmer to touch up when it gets too long.
wtnhunt
Usually shave about 2 times a week. Razors are not as much an issue with me as what beard trimmers are. Norelco I had was great for several years. Thing I got now(wahl brand I think) is so so. Far as razors, use gillette and edge gel.
OJR
Just trim the beard now and then! I hate shaving!
Jeramie
I have wire for facial hair and I have a lot of it. During the winters ive started growing beards (nothing long but it keeps me from shaving). Any other time I can only shave everyother day or my face turns into meat loaf. I use gel (doesnt really matter which brand, they all do the same for me) and a mach 3. No aftershave but I do use a men's lotion afterwards. 92xj
My face and neck used to do that as well. You should try the shaving soap and brush. You are get them at walmart/walgreens or any store like that. You can buy a kit that has the soap brush and bowl for around 7-10 bucks and it will last 10 times longer than a can of gel. It's by far the best shave I have ever had and I dont break out anymore at all. Give it a try. I hate shaving and normally have a very very short beard but I always shave my neck hair. Chicks hate neck hair so I gotta keep that nice.
ckrich
I decided to keep a short beard through the summer for the first time this year. The neck gets trimmed with the clippers about every other day, and only gets touched by a blade a couple times a year. Might have to try that shaving soap and brush tho... Leo
I just rub a bar of Ivory Soap on my face in the shower and shave with a Gillette Mach 3. Takes me about 1 min. I had a beard one year but for me shaving every day is easier to deal with.
Hoosierbuck
Barbasol and cheap disposable razors. Aftershave? Rubbing alcohol. Good stuff. It'll toughen up that pretty face of yours. Mine wasn't very pretty to start with. Began shaving in about 7th grade. Electric gave me more rashes than a blade ever did. HB
redkneck
Barbasol and cheap disposable razors. +1 Don't need anything exceptionally close, the shadow's coming back at the end of the work day anyway.
Gator
Mach 3 Razor and Edge Gel
pruts
Usually just trim with no guards also, and keep the goatee somewhat longer. When I do shave I use a Mach 3 and ladies leg shaving cream. I think it's "raspberry Rain" sent. Ha ha ha.... I'm so manley. (I'm not kidding either)
need2hunt
Mac 3 razor and water, preferably hot. If no water is available and the razor isn't dull then I'll cut it dry.
SuperMn106
I just use a beard trimmer. I do not have a razor so I am trying to go with the Zac Brown look.
