Bow Hunter Derek
I just was approached by a guy that we do business with to take him turkey hunting in Tennessee. He's never killed a turkey and I've killed many. He's looking for someone to show him the ropes. He has a lease through some oil/gas deal (I don't profess to know the details) on a ton of ground in the Briceville area (northwest of Knoxville). He asked me to find out how the turkey hunting is in that area so that he and I can fly down and I can hopefully put us into birds. Anyone able to offer any insight? Guest nubs
Re: Tennessee turkeys? I live just minutes from Briceville. It borders Royal Blue WMA/Sunquist WMA which is 130,000 acres. I took a nice 19lbs Tom there last year. The land is steep for the most part, and a ATV is the way we all get around. You can locate birds by truck though. Hunting pressure is not nearly as bad as during deer season. Birds don't get too much calling too.
