In defense of my coach

If that were true, John, then way didn't Ray Small defend him?

Anyway, the kid who wrote that article was a punter...and probably one of the worst punters OSU has had in my lifetime. Kid would have been lucky to have a booster hand him $5.

So let me get this straight. SI and ESPN writers covering the biggest story in college football are all risking their jobs by writing biased and inaccurate stories. However, Ohio State players who were recruited by, sucked in, and paid by Tressel (and dont think for one second this guy didnt get any benefits) are giving us completely unbiased and accurate reports. Right muggsbow?

People go out of their way routinely to emphasize how great this guy's character is, how much he impacted their lives, how he was like a father figure. You ever hear that about Pete Carroll?

These prayer sessions Tressel had for his players EVERYDAY...that was just to pull the wool over everyone's eye, right John? Come on.

The 'sources' in SI were ex-con's who now own tatoo parlors. Wow, credible...

This stuff goes on at every program. If SI wants to report what the ex-con's told them. Okay, not the best journalism I've ever seen, but they could at least save the personal attacks on a man's character.

Thoma said it best. Tressel's care and concerns for his players is what ultimately brought him down. If he never sends Pryor's mentor that email...maybe he gets away with this. But he was trying to help the kid...a kid who was the biggest waste of life to ever step foot on the hallowed turf at The Shoe. That's what you get when you pull a kid out of PA...bunch of punks.
