BrotherBadger
Planting food plots for the first time, and one of the areas I plan on putting one in (MICRO PLOT), has lots of shade. Any clue what would be a good crop to use for whitetails?
dogdoc
I have had decent luck using a product called Throw and Grow from Evolved Habitats. I have a micro plot that might get one hour of sunlight that I have used this on. Worked great and killed a nice buck off of it couple of years ago. todd
LETMGROW
I have had good success with " Forrested Trail " a seed blend from www.heartlandwildlifeinstitute.com. The clovers are very hardy and will survive with even less sunlight than the company recommends. I have it planted where it is shaded most of the day by a stand of evergreens and I have to mow it as often as my other plots of clover. This spot also gets run over constantly by tractors, trucks and 4-wheelers. It seems as though the more you abuse it the better it grows. This seed is a perennial also. My planting was done in 2007 and looks better than ever this year. Lynn Edited June 26, 2011 by LETMGROW
