Hopefully not, makes people less honest.

That wouldn't bother me a bit but we may have less participation. Bragging & ragging rights (all in fun) are more important to me than the prizes.

Personally, I'd rather see us have fewer teams (like a max of 8). Split up the participants between them. Who cares if we end up with 15 or more on a team. We'd get to know those forum members better. After all...it's supposed to be about having fun and getting to know people better.

Those that participate for only the prizes wouldn't be missed by me. Most of them are folks that aren't very active within the forums anyway. Plus, having those people not here would give me a better chance at beating 92xj. :D

No arguement there Cory but it's also a way to get forum members more active. You don't need to worry about Ben too much. He's going to be busy waterfowl hunting during the best times to be in the woods deer hunting anyway. :p:D

I'll be tagged out in 3 different states before The October 15th duck opener.

Well, I hope so anyways. :clown:

LOL!!! :rolleyes::D

Heck...I just hope a BIGUN in Kansas steps into range...well...& I don't choke like I did in 2009. :yes: I'm tired of eating that tag. Haven't filled a KS tag since my 2004 hunt. No problems in MS though.

Maybe we need a smilie with a rope around his neck for chokes like mine. :oops::D;)

That ain't going to help you in the deer contest.

Im doing a Bull Elk hunt this year for 4-5 days. OTC tags for you, if you want to come. Hard hunting, High Mountains, but there are some quality bulls in the area.

Yea not sure why I was thinking elk could be entered.

I agree......Always have 2 or 3 really active members per team and then 2 or 3 that just post occasionally. I understand we all are busy and can't post all the time but the more members per team we had the more conversation each team would/could/should have.....

Great idea IMO!

I wouldn't mind seeing this as well. I join the contest to talk to other members I might not strike up a conversation with on a regular basis. It is a good way to get to know other members.

Toddyboman and I were on the same team last year, and he can tell you that the participation level of the team was pretty low. There were probably 2 maybe 3 team members who were heard from maybe 3 times (besides the initial check in) during the duration of the contest. Heck, we didn't even have a team name.

I've been on several really fun (i.e. chatty) teams and a couple of boring ones. The fun teams make it all worthwhile for me. I totally enjoy following the other team members' seasons, especially the ones that get to hunt a lot. I also find it interesting to hear about the different styles and techniques of hunting that go on in different parts of the country. And hopefully my teammates don't find me too boring.

And I'll 2nd the idea of NO PRIZES for winning. That's not why I play and I'm not interested in attracting the types of people who think they need some sort of prize.
