dbHunterNY
I was out woodchuck hunting in a 30 acre hay field and walked up on a couple hens with young poults. There were a lot with each hen and some even flew. Hopefully there's some future long beards in there and hopefully no hawks get them. This past turkey wasn't that great at all in that area, so maybe things will start to get better the next few years.
Ethan Givan
Good deal! Been seeing a few hens with poults around here as well. There was a hen below our house with about 12 poults following her around just this week. Then one afternoon I was walking along the edge of the woods and walked up on 2 hens with poults, and several poults flew off into the woods with them. Once the poults can fly well, I feel alot better about them making it.
