fly
I always thought Ellen was fairly funny - until yesterday when I heard her on the radio. She actually encourages the killing of a hunter! Listen in - at 2 minutes she shares her words of wisdom. Perhaps it could be chalked up as a joke, but after a little research I found she supports anti-hunting organizations. The audience listening sure thinks it's funny. What do you think? Is she out of line or just being funny? stevebeilgard
ellen degenerate is definately anti hunting, and that was no joke. she's also a vocal lesbian, thus my name for her. my kids like her and always correct me with her name and i tell them i call her what she is, not her name. Rhino
Can't stand her Me too!!!!! I did listen to the clip to answer your question. Yes she is trying to be funny as part of her routine but it's obvious that's her true feelings. Just another good reason for me to support my "can't stand her" position. wtnhunt
Sorry, did not listen to your link Frank. She is pretty funny, but I am just not a fan of hers, I gotta agree with Steve and for years have used the same name for her.

Jeramie
The one thing that stands consistent is that uneducated people will often despise what they don’t understand or fear. Take this case for example. She may be a true anti-hunter to the core. Honestly that is fine. The reality is we aren’t going to turn 100% of the population into hunters and supporters. Her other life choices chalk her off of my favorites list but this one decision isn’t a deal breaker. IMHO, I think most anti-hunters are very uneducated about hunting in general. They always get the short version, ....Large eyed doe, eating grass under a rainbow, clover valley surrounded by beautiful flowers and singing birds..... In steps Joe Bob hunter, rage issues, over gunned (packing anti-aircraft on his shoulder), beat his wife and had a 6-pack before leaving the house, steps into the valley, goes full auto and mows down everything in his path, turns beautiful creature of nature into a dripping red pool of flesh and muck. That is very typical of the portrayed version of hunting. Unless you are raised or truly exposed who wouldn’t hate it? You cant tell me people like Ellen have helped prepare for months, awaited the opening day, did their due diligence, sit in a tree for hours on end, gutted and cleaned their own animal, etc. They have no idea of the benefits of fresh, chemical free meat. They have no idea that people depend on their right to hunt for food and its not just a "sport." They know nothing of animal populations and the way hunting effects it. They don’t understand the real, 100% importance of a DNR and the revenue for the state, the health of animals, etc. The reality of the situation is that every system needs checks and balances. We aren’t going to convince everyone to love what we love. And honestly, if we are never given the chance to truly educate anti-hunters why blame them for the hating the portrayed version of hunting? Besides, if it comes down to hunting or not hunting by force..... we are the ones with the anti-aircraft guns...

fly
Thanks to everyone for your comments. I suppose I never thought of Ellen as uneducated. She may only have a high school diploma, but I think she knows enough about the way the world works to make an educated decision on her stance against hunting. She doesn't get it because she chooses not to - not because she hasn't had the oppertunity to know it as we do. Just my opinion on the matter. Anyway, I have no use for her any longer. Just my opinion on the matter. Anyway, I have no use for her any longer. I disagree.... I work with well over 250 people at my office in Tulsa. I can make a large list of people here that have never had the chance to go hunting. If that is possible in the midwest where hunting is as important as changing underwear (and far more important during deer camp) im guessing a person such as Ellen likely has never had the chance or has never sat down with an advocate to discuss rationally..... just my $.

The Kid
I think her show is pretty funny and she gives a lot to people, She was obviously joking I don't think she would wish that on anyone, as far as her being anti you know people have opinions shes not going to stop me from hunting so it is what it is. Ya I care about hunting but I'm not going to hate someone for their opinions. Heck my mom doesn't like me going out and harvesting animals does that mean I hate her no..
