tedicast
It seems that the black Gold Tips are much easier to remove from a 3D target than camo arrows. Not sure why. I still use an arrow puller to help me grip them.

TreeWalker
Re: McKenzie arrow removal A cheap solution is use a bra of soap, and wipe it up and down the first few inches of the arrow shaft......commonly called "soaping your arrow".......makes arrow removal alot easier..... maddhunter
Re: McKenzie arrow removal I've been using baby oil. I have a small container that I dip my arrow tips in about every three shots. Makes alot of difference when pulling field tipped arrows out of a Delta Broadhead Buck!!!!!
PAbowhunter4life
Re: McKenzie arrow removal I have the same problem as you, my Bemans burry themselves very deep in to my deer target and I literally have to lay it on it's side and pull with everything I have to get it out, and I bench A LOT of weight lol. That being said, I have started putting a little bit of lubricant on my arrows to help out with this problem. WD40 works fine and I am yet to have a problem with poor flight or arrows slipping off the rest due to the slickness. Hope this helps! tedicast
Re: McKenzie arrow removal [ QUOTE ] WD40 works fine [/ QUOTE ] Persoanlly, WD40 is the last thing I want anywhere near a bow I'm going to be hunting with. That smell has got to linger on the bow. I'll stick with using my arrow puller.
AaronS
Re: McKenzie arrow removal Use iminrut's tip and cut a bar of ivory soap in half, stick it in a sandwich bag, and carry it with you when you shoot. Coat the front 6 inches of your arrow before every shot and you'll be amazed how much easier they pull out.

too_pointer
Re: McKenzie arrow removal Good info me also. I use the " Block " target, and even with an arrow puller, it is still way to hard to pull the arrows from it I wasn't aware you could buy arrow lube right from the store. I will certainly be looking for some. My only problem is that I shoot a x-bow, and sometimes bury the arrows pretty deep. They might just keep right on going with the lube too_pointer

PAbowhunter4life
Re: McKenzie arrow removal It does linger, that I will give ya, but it's looooong gone before archery season ever rolls around. Plus as we get closer to the season everything gets a scrub in hot sopay water then gets a liberal amount of Fall Blend applied. Haven't had a deer bust me yet, knock on wood.
