Ravin R10 man
Anybody picked one up yet? Just wondering if and what you think about them.
Rhino
I don't have one and doubt I'd get one Martin. They may work OK for you on your farm though. From what I read about them, they operate basically the same as a plot watcher. Just daytime pics and shut down ~30 to 40 minutes before legal shooting ends and after they begin. I don't know if there are many customer reviews on it yet since it's new but there are a lot about the plot watcher. I like to read the customer reviews on Cabela's website whenever I'm thinking about purchasing a product. I also pay more attention to those reviews with less than 5 stars. They clue you into some of the concerns you may have with a product.

Rhino
I stand corrected Martin the Attack is not the camera I was thinking about. It's a new Cuddeback out there that comes in either flash or IR. Takes 5mp images on normal trail cam mode, day & night claiming a 60' flash range. The IR version uses 36 IR flash LEDs. When it is set to the time lapse mode (like a plot watcher) the image quality is only 1.3mp. Also when set on time lapse (they call guard duty) it appears to be limited to daylight pics. JMHO but with 1.3mp pics, a deer better be close. The 5mp images in normal trail cam setting is better than their previous cams. Anyway...if you want to review their brochure, I've attached a link here. CddbkAttack-2011_flipbook_v4_final
hoosierhunter
Also note that "centered subject technology" is simply a very small detection cone that won't trigger unless the animal is directly in front of the camera. IE less pictures!
Rhino
Also note that "centered subject technology" is simply a very small detection cone that won't trigger unless the animal is directly in front of the camera. IE less pictures! Yea Pat...Cuddeback has been taking that negative and trying to convince potential customers it's a positive every year. A deer can move through just fast enough to leave with with only a back half view of it. I know...I have 3 cuddes & 2 reconyx cams. Wider detection zone cameras with the same trip speed show you the whole deer. Of course like you said, a deer that never makes it to the center never trips the cam. The Kid
I bought one and love it, has 30 sec videos and takes still picture every 15 seconds. And since I have a couple 2 gb cards i'm not too woried of filling up my cards. I checked it the first two days I had it out there and i had 150 pictures. Its a solid camera that's very dependable..Oh and the best part is is the battery life! With my old cudde back i would go through batteries all the time I've probably taking close to 2000 pictures already and the battery is still at 99 %. CajunHunter
I have never used a cuddle back. I have used WGI, Moltrie, and Ltl Acorn. WGI works the best out of all of them. Best quality of pictures of both day and night, same for videos, better priced, and best battery life out of them all.

WGI cameras are exactly what you pay for them.......
