The_Kat
In OKLAHOMA that is! I just finished a job up around Strut10's place and was on my way to a job near Wheeling, WV when I got a call from a company here in Oklahoma looking for an experienced tech to be stationed here full time. The money is a little less....bout 24% less, but thats a small price to pay for being home with my family more. I am having to start out in western Oklahoma, but will have days off to come home and will eventually get moved to eastern Oklahoma where I can be home every single night. I have been waiting on a good job back home to open up....never dreamed I'd get lucky enough to do the same thing I do on the road at home and make good money. Jenn and Cash are happy to have me home....I can't thank God enough for bringing me back with my family. It's a feeling I can't really describe. Anyways, just wanted to share the good news! wtnhunt
Congratulations on the new job Kyle. Warm here, but probably not as bad as where you are.

redkneck
That's good Kyle. My next door neighbor has been in PA welding on a pipeline job for about 3 months now (maybe the same job you were on). His wife and kids just came back last weekend after being stuck in his camper for 7 weeks... I know she'd like him to be home every night too. Money can be good, but there's a price to be paid at home too. good luck.

Gator
Just remember that soomeone somewhere is toting a weapon, while carrying 25lbs+ of gear, in 115-125 degree heat, while wondering if someone is gonna shoot at him or set off an IED, all the while just wishing for one night with their family, be thankful of what you have
ckrich
Congrats Kyle, welcome home. Better get reacclimated before hunting season rolls around...
c_lou
The loss in pay will soon be a distant thought. I know exactly how you feel. I gave up good coin to move back home and be near family.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Congrats Kyle. I don't know how you did it being away from your family like you were. That loss in pay probably won't be as much as you think. Remember, you are now only paying for one household instead of two. Congrats again, enjoy your time with your family
