What Do You Need To Buy Before September ?

I need my SC license and a non-resident Alabama license.

Besides that, the only thing I really need is a new backup BRIGHT flashlight. I lost my spare last year. My Surefire Nitrolon G2 serves me well most of the time. I've got the P-60 lamp in it which eats batteries at a much slower rate than the P-61 lamp. The P-61 lamp is almost twice as bright but it chews up two expensive Lithium Cells in just 20minutes!

I always carry spare batteries. I learned the hard way one year that isn't good enough! One moonless evening I was making my way out of the swamp and the lamp unit failed on my flashlight! New batteries can't fix that! I was stuck in the swamp in total complete darkness. Luckily I was able to reach a friend on my cell and he drove to the edge of the swamp and shined his headlights towards me. I was barely able to make out his lights. That was a long walk in the dark heading towards two headlights.

Since then I've always carried two lights.

So yes, I feel I really NEED a new flashlight.

The one I'm looking at is a BlackBear Bear Cub. The price of the light includes a battery charger. Which means it is much more economical than similar class lights. It's not just the fact the charger is included, you also don't have to buy expensive one time use 123As! These lights use Maglight flashlight housings which are readily available. They also sell spare and replacement parts for their lights. In short I'll be able to keep this light working for a long long time.

Welcome to Black Bear Flashlights
