Dawg
I had a carbon arrow blow thru the target, bounce off the ground, thru a chain link fence, ricocheted off a tree and stuck in the ground. I flexed it and didn't see any cracks. Would you toss it or keep it?
Ethan Givan
I would keep it
redkneck
Keep it. Put it to the back of the quiver for a varmint arrow, or just a target arrow.
Rhino
I would hate to say without examining it myself. I'd examine it a lot closer than just flexing it for any indication of cracks, especially around the tip end & nock end. Then, if there's any doubt at all about the arrows integrity I'd toss it...if not OK your call. I've had some before appear to be OK and then checked to ends with my thumbnail & found a suspect hair line crack...they got tossed.
toddyboman
Be careful and check it really good before you shoot it again.... I really thought this was going like...... I had a carbon arrow blow thru the target, bounce off the ground, thru a chain link fence, ricocheted off a tree and make a perfect heart shot on my 3d buck :D:D:D
Dawg
I did think about the Michael Waddell commercials when it happened. At first I thought the arrow blew apart after hitting the fence and then the tree, sounded pretty bad. I have it set off to the side and will examine it a little closer tonight. dbHunterNY
yea corey, i'd look it over good and use a cotton ball. if you have a wrap on it take that off first. then if it's all good i'd use it just as a stump/squirrel shooting arrow (with an appropriate head of course). Born4it
I'd keep it if you're comfortable after looking it over very closely. Seen too many pictures of shredded arrows through people's hands. God bless, Ryan
