HUNTINGMAN
Got some great news today from landowner I went to check on my cousin that I hunt on today and found out some realy great news. They started logging last fall before bowseason and logged up until December. They quit for the winter and came back about 2 months ago to finish up. I found out today that they are completely finished now. I didn't put out corn or trail cameras last season because I never new where they were going to be from one day to the next. I rode up on the hill to check things out and found that there is still some trees big enough to hold a stand, lol. It's going to take a lot of work to get things back in shape, clearing and fixing the roads and hanging stands but I'm so excited I could almost pee on myself. Gonna get some corn and put up cameras next few day I get off to see what I have missed for the last year.
Texan_Til_I_Die
You should have some good hunting over the next several years. Might be a good time to think about putting in a food plot or two.
dbHunterNY
you should have a lot of growth to make things really thick. i'd keep a good spot (topo works and easy to get in and out undetected) cleared out for a staging area and put a perennial clover plot in or more. i don't know how big it is. mikewink
The cutovers are some good areas to hunt when the growth starts again. Deer love those new grasses and shoots. Good luck!
