dbHunterNY
So I'm sure there aren't many of you Rage fans out there that shoot the Titanium heads, because they're usually $30+ per head. Well this season I'll be shooting them. At Dick's Sporting Goods I found one pack behind all the regular packs of Rage heads. Couldn't find a bar code sticker or price anywhere, which means they're usually on clearance. I brought them up to the counter and had them use to scanner to find out they were clearanced out to be the same price as the regular ones! Curious to find out how well they work. Should be pretty tough. Is there the slightest chance any of you shoot them?

dbHunterNY
should i have a reason other than making some money? lol
hoosierhunter
lol nope. I refuse to use an exspandable, but if I were to shoot one it would be a rage. The only recommendation I can make is that it depends on which way you miss when you miss. If you miss back then keep them. If you miss forward then get rid of them. Bar none an expandable will put down a gut shot deer much faster than a fixed blade. On the flip side on a shoulder shot on a big deer that expandable could fail. dbHunterNY
i see. i've used the regular Rage two blade heads with great results. I know others that use them and they get the same typical 3" gash. many broadheads i know won't handle a direct hit into the front leg/shoulder bones. they may hold together but your blades will be chipped. i'm thinking that these titanium heads should keep the ferrule intact and they're narrower for better penetration. we'll see how they work.
