TBow
There's been a wild turkey season in Ontario for 5 or 6 (maybe more) years now. I went out the 1st year they had it, but I only hunted with my bow. I had one tom at 8 yards, but there was a cluster of birch trees between him and me, so not shot presented itself. I've only bought a turkey lisence about half of the years that Ontario has had a season, and really haven't tackled them with any kind of vengence though. Still, I thought I'd have been the 1st one in my family to bag a turkey, but the bride proved me wrong. This week on her way to work, she travelled 401 on her way to Brockville. Apparently a string of birds were crossing the highway and she careemed one off the windshield of her Tuscon. She was pretty ticked as it could have broken the windshield, and she had no idea as to what kind of bird it was, only that it was big. At first she thought it was a pheasant, but when she described the bird and the incident, I immediately said, "DAD GUMMIT! Them there was turkeys! You beat me!".
