Ethan Givan
There hasn't been any activity in here for 3 days. Where are all the deer pics everyone? They should be flooding in this time of year lol Anyways here are a few to look at that we got from the other farm today. Any opinions on ages on any of these deer would be cool. First group of bucks. Nice lookin 8 in the back left, and a decent 7 on the right. The buck in front is actually a 10 pointer but the smallest of the three. Next is the big 9 I posted pics of a couple weeks ago. He has become a regular visitor now. Behind him is a goofy looking 7 pointer nicknamed the unibrow buck because of his single brow tine. A close up of the unibrow buck Then this really tall 8 showed up for the first time. Really nice looking deer. More pics to come of these guys in the future I hope. The_Kat
what do you have your cam positioned over? I'm having a hard time getting anything other than coons at my feeders.

toddyboman
Looking good. Kyle I am going to guess he has some type of mineral down. I have all my cameras over mineral sites right now....
wtnhunt
Some real nice bucks there Ethan. That is quite a bachelor group there. Good luck with them. Have not gotten any decent bachelor groups this year so far, just one decent 3.5 year old 8 running with a 1.5 year old subordinate dink, nothing like last years group of 8's we watched for months. We passed up some decent deer last year so there should be some around. There hasn't been any activity in here for 3 days. Where are all the deer pics everyone? They should be flooding in this time of year lol Dunno Ethan, I posted some pics last week and only had like 3 replies where used to be would get at least 10. Things are slow here participation wise for sure, my cam activity is slow too. Think the dry heat we had been having has had the deer not using the minerals too much, need to refresh our mineral site too. Also have crops in all around here, lot of corn this year, when the corn comes out deer should get to moving around a bit more. Hopefully this break from the extreme heat and ag crops getting harvested in the next month things will pick up, all we had on our last pull was does and fawns. When I get 2 or 3 comments on what I think is a decent buck seems almost pointless to post pics of anything unless it is different or really nice. When its hot like this in the summer months, minerals and salt licks are the ticket.
The_Kat
Thank you, I moved two cams to trails. I left the one on a feeder where I caught a few deer on. I will put out a mineral lick and try my luck with it.

Dawg
Nice bucks Ethan! I have corn and a mineral block out and haven't got anything......at all......not even a track on the ground. It's been out about 3 weeks now, most of the corn is still there (40 lbs) and is just about ruined.
wtnhunt
Any opinions on ages on any of these deer would be cool. Of all those deer I think the youngest one is the one in the center in that first pic. I would guess most of those deer are 3.5 or older. Hard to age deer this time of the year, but most of those bucks bodies look pretty square to me indicating 3.5 or older. Only the one in the center in that first pic looks like he may be less than a 3.5 year old as his body is not as full as it goes back. BTW did you get to put any water tanks in? If you did, I would put my salt/minerals there next to them. Of all those deer I think the youngest one is the one in the center in that first pic. I was thinking they all looked 3.5 or older, but that one in the first pic does look young. It is hard judging age until later in the season. Dawg
Water tanks are going in Friday or Saturday. Finally found a means of transporting water to the lease.
Rhino
Nice pics Ethan...keep tabs on them. BTW...my best luck this time of year comes from mineral licks and summer food plots. Now that Africa is behind me I'll start running the cams soon.

It is hard judging age until later in the season. I think you actually have a bunch of deer 3.5 or younger there. I'm about 99.9% sure that the first pic shows to great young deer in the back. If you have some more pics I'll PM you my email to send them to me to check out.
