ousoonerfan22
Since we're still in this drought do you guys think it's too early to start feeding corn?
victor3ranger
What I have seen so far with the drought is if you still have a water source fairly close then the deer will flock to your feeder. I haven't stopped my feeders since last season, seems like the food sources are slim so I would say help them out, start running your corn. abrown
LOL, too early. I talked to outfitters that keep their feeders filled all summer. I've decided to try it, and haven't pulled any wall hangers in yet, but we'll see.
ousoonerfan22
I thought I've read that it's not good to feed corn during the summer especially with the temps we've had this summer.

I think they have to eat a lot of corn for it to be a problem. tossing out a few pounds a day for the deer to eat will not cause a problem. victor3ranger
What I have always heard was as long as the deer were free ranging they would eat natural food sources and feeding corn would have no ill effect since they would not really eat enough to cause any kind of imbalance in thier diet.
