TBow
All summer long I've been holding off digging up portions of my house's old stone foundation in order to repair a number of cracks and water leaks. My son had to put his house on the market at the first of the summer, so I've been spending all my spare time there the past couple of months doing repairs and renovations in order to increase the marketability of his house, but have missed the dry times in order to tackle my foundation. Well yesterday I started digging up the worst section of my foundation and started doing some repairs such as pouring cement reinforcing sections and prepping the stone work for mortaring. Wouldn't you know it, this afternoon we got the heaviest dounpour of the summer and the yard between my house and both my neighbors north and south looked like a lake. The 3" to 4" of water just overran into the area I'd dug up and pretty much filled it. I had tarped it to keep the rain off it, but couldn't avoid the water that ran in under the tarp from the over flow. GREAT TIMING TBOW! I was hoping to have the most of the worst sections completed by the 1st of September in order to start getting all our gear ready for moose hunting as we leave September 22nd for northern Ontario. Rain rain go away! TBow wants to out and play!.....or work as the case is! TBow
