Remington NEVER AGAIN!!

I can understand how you feel!

I had a problem with a Ruger 77/22 and sent it back to the factory 3 different times! It shaved a piece off of the bullet when it was fed from the clip! They never did fix it and wanted me to send it back again!

I traded it off! I also have had 3 different Ruger Model 77's and had accuracy problems with them!

I do have a Ruger 10/22 and it is great! Other than that, no more Rugers for me!

Re: Remington NEVER AGAIN!!

Sorry, but I have to agree with her. Your range fees? Come on CK. Did you really expect Remington to send you a 700 or 870 just because you bought some accessories for a $155 gun that you did not like?

They did not bill you for rental of their gun for the time you used it.

They paid for shipping back and forth.

You should still have the scope, mounts, cleaning kit, and case. They can be used on other guns. Were these purchases necessary for the proper use of the gun? Nope.

I really don't see your beef. You were reimbursed your purchase price. Perhaps you misunderstood what the lead was telling you. Did you get anything in writing? I feel that Rem tried to remedy the situation by the free shipping and repair attempts. When you were not satisfied they re-paid you what you spent on the gun. I could see them knocking $155 off a gun of your choice at wholesale price (that would be above and beyond for them), but thats about it.

Well said AJ, I agree. I am sorry Camo that you were unhappy with them and I would sure feel the same with if I was not satisfied, but you need to be realistic. Would you have been a member of the range anyways? I mean you must be if you shoot other firearms also aren't you?

Re: Remington NEVER AGAIN!!

"Who and what is covered by this warranty and for how long?

Remington warrants to you, the original purchaser of a new firearm, that for two years from the date of purchase in the United States or Canada, your Remington firearm will be free from defects in material and workmanship."

"What will Remington do if you discover a defect?

If you make a claim within the warranty period following the instructions given in this warranty, we will, at our option, repair the defect(s), or replace the firearm at no cost to you. If we send you a new firearm, we will keep the defective one."

It looks to me like Remington went above and beyond their warranty policy to try and satisfy you.

You are not being realistic . You wanted them to upgrade You to a .270 that you would not be able to shoot at that indoor range anyway.

The rest of the options that you purchased can still be used by you at a later date.

Re: Remington NEVER AGAIN!!

I'm going to say my peace and leave it at that...hope everyone else does too...we don't need this to become an issue and get deleted.

I agree with CK...not so much about Rem., but a big company like them...they could have went a little further than just paying shipping on the gun. If you paid $155 for it...how much do you think it cost Rem. to make it? They could have done more...esp. since they said they would.

You have more patients than I do...no way I would have waited 5 months. I would have given them one chance to make it right...then I want a refund and buy a competors gun.
