hammerforged
Anyone else watch this on the Discovery Channel? Documentary about the building of "Tower One" the Freedom Tower that our fellow forumite Anthony (Adjam5) is working on. Amazing to see behind the scenes what all is going into this building. They are really breaking new ground in building construction. Taking lessons from 9/11 and applying them to the structure and fortification in this building. Adjam5
I saw the show Ross...It was very moving. For future shows, I hope they profile more workers than just the Iron workers. The project I am on is the Memorial and Museum. My partner and I are doing all of the over head lighting in the Museum. The closer we get to the 11th... feelings come into play, and it gets a bit more emotional working there. I am proud to be part of such a project. For some good pics of the site... Texan_Til_I_Die
I watched it, good stuff. Very interesting engineering in that building. Looks like they learned a lot from the collapse of the towers on 9/11. And a big salute and thank you to all of the workers on the project. Adjam5
Each Thursday I am told there will be a different topic on the Ground Zero rebuild in this series. This Thursday I hear it will be all about the Memorial and Museum. That is the project I am on. I am looking forward to it.
stevebeilgard
is everyone here aware that the muslims have applied for federal funding of their mosque building? what a kick in the groin for america. be sure to look it up and sign the petition against it. unless, of course, you like the idea of our tax dollars paying for their mosque built in the place that most spites us. Newarcher
I finally got this tivo'd.....I gotta tell you that never in my life have I been prouder to be an American than watching these people (many who lost loved ones) build this magnificent memorial and building complex. I especially like that they moved a building wall so that each year on 9/11 when the first plane hit the North tower, sunlight will stream through and land right on the footprint of that North tower. Amazing. Respect to Adjam5 and his cohorts, what an amazing thing. New
