ruttinbuc
Here is a video account of Hurricane Irene and her coming and going in my neighborhood. The storm will certainly be remembered as one of the worst for flooding. [video=youtube;p2uZjYySBL0]
Texan_Til_I_Die
Looks like a mess for sure, but you can't even begin to imagine how jealous I am of all that water. We're ready for a Category 5 here and whatever destruction comes along with it, we'll take it and be grateful.

dbHunterNY
nice video mike. crazy how quickly it came. some i know of had their business or house flooded and in some cases it caved or had foundation damage. not sure how it is down there, but most here don't have flood insurance. what was the extent of the damage you got hit with? wtnhunt
Glad you did not have any damage Mike. Don't think I have ever seen flooding as bad as your clip and what the news is showing. Nice job on that clip.
ScottyLuck
Glad you made it through!! CT got slammed pretty good too. We only lost powere for 4 days but there are still areas that are out. Areas of the shoreline got crushed. One town had 25 houses destroyed or condemned due to damage from the surf on Long Island Sound. I've never, in my life, seen the Sound as angry as it was last Sunday. Irene hit at the worst possible time here as it was an xtra high tide (astronomical high tide) due to the new moon. Glad she's gone but, man, did she leave her stamp here! ruttinbuc
The amazing thing is that so many people called it a non event. Not hard to convince those who lost life and property.
