Ohiobucks
Well, with as little posts as you been seeing from me it has been a rough year so far.... I hear ya Stone Cold, same here. It's been some pretty tough hunting so far. With the pre-rut and rut getting closer, things are bound to pick up for us.
hoosierhunter
Well that 160 class buck showed himself to me last night and he is impressive. The biggest question we have is his age. There's a serious possibility he's only 3.5. We are setting up another reconyx to try to capture him on film on this side of the farm. This year has been unreal for mature deer on the farms. One thing I can say is that we have 4 farms that held our biggest deer that were not hunted until last weekend and it's really paid off. I still have two of the 4 not hunted. It's very hard to do, but I'm seeing results that I never would have believed.

hoosierhunter
Well I had the split 2 buck at 38 yards his morning and couldn't get a shot. It's just eating at me that I'm this close to a 160 plus and can't close the deal on him. We are going to give that property a break for about a week and then hit him with a decoy next weekend. hoosierhunter
Here's the non-typical and split 2 buck. Split two has been very visible and the non-typical has been seen once during daylight. I don't know what he will score but I'd love to find out. I know Split 2 has 12-13 in g2's and at least 10 inch 3's and is about 18 wide.
texastrophies
Seeing as opening weekend is this coming saturday, I figured I might ought to set up my stand. While Jake and I were at the lease yesterday I brought my game cameras back. Had a lot of pictures of some small bucks and raccoons. The one below was the best buck that chose to pose. Ohiobucks
I grunted/rattled in a very nice 10 point tonight around 5:30pm. He got within feet of my 30 yard shooting lane and stopped....turned around and went back to where he came from. So close....but just my luck. Seen him again today and he was chasing the doess around hard, lip curl and all.

Smitteken
Life has kept me from the woods. The handful of times I've been out have been eventless. Haven't seen many does and no good bucks. Just a handful of small bucks. I'm on vacation all next week leading up to our gun season. They've got to start moving. But there's a ton of pressure on them around me.

Jorden
Got this guy on camera saturday night. Nothing was moving at all this weekend. Gonna be heading out the next 3 days before work. Suppose to get some accumulating snow tonight so maybe they will be on their feet during the day. Ohiobucks
Shot a big dry doe this afternoon, she came in by herself at 5:00pm. Quartering to at 15 yards, your seeing the entrance. The exit is right in the pocket, heart shot. She made it *maybe* 40 yards after the shot.
