I also whacked a doe tonight. We are going back out to take up the trail in an hour or so. I hit her further back on a steeper quartering away angle. The arrow was flopping out the other side as she ran off low. It looked like the arrow went in just in front of the ham and is running up toward the stomach, liver, diaphram and possibly the offside lung. This was from a tent blind so I won't have a low exit hole. I hope to see the red nock glowing in the woods when we get back out there. Cameras tend to be bad luck but since you guys don't have any pictures of your does, I think I'll take it along just in case. Wish me luck.

We retreived my doe right away. She was on 20 yards inside the treeline where I left off at last light. She dressed 105lbs and aged 3 1/2 by her jaw. She was dry with no udder. I will post pictures when I get them onto photobucket later on this week sometime.

Good luck to the rest of you. Don't forget your cameras!!!!!!!!

Well I finally got the pics of my doe onto the photo entry thread. Here's a link. http://www.realtree.com/forums/announcements-online-contests/106315-2011-2012-realtree-forum-deer-contest-deer-photo-entry.html

Hope everyone else is getting some time in the woods. My brother is getting married tomorrow so there won't be much hunting this weekend.

And don't forget your cameras for those deer you get!!!

Well it been rainy here the last couple of days. I did venture out and check my camera. Apples barely touched, which was a relief since I had none to bring out with me. Only had some pics of a small doe. Hopefully the action will pick up in front of the camera just before rifle season.

Congrats of the doe redkneck, I'd enter it into the contest anyways. 5 points is five points, and gets us a head start on the leader board. Plus you can still upgrade when you get a buck.

Well that was 2 in two days. I was going to snap a pic of the one last night, but honestly, even if my phone had a flash I wouldn't have. Guts hanging out and a cut neck was pretty nasty, lol. I haven't gone a year without killing 4-5 deer and not less than at least one 8pt in a long time, so knock on wood I'll try to get something better soon to put up.

Yes.......good job buddy. Glad you got some time to relax and hit the woods. Keep up the good work.

Seems the "October Lull" is here as sightings are down, pictures are down and the temperature is up. 10-15 degrees above normal. Highs in the mid to upper 70s. Not so good when the deer are walking around with their winter coats on.
