Congrats on the doe buddy. Hope you get a poke at a buck.

Like Martin said, our 9 day Firearm (Silly Season) Season starts this Saturday the 19th. Unfortunately it is unlikely to see something big enough to shoot as our QDM Cooperative has steadily declined over the past few years. Neighbors always had unrealistic expectations and now a 2 1/2 year old buck is generally the most mature buck around. We will likely target the couple best bucks we saw on camera this past fall. The 9 day season is not much fun anymore because 600k-700k gun hunters are out in full force pounding every patch of anything that could hold a deer. With all the pressure, it is still amazing how many record deer come out of our state.

posted up my buck tonight for entry to score board, sorry took awhile, got home sunday and couldnt get a free moment to get it done but its entered. We need some more bucks the score board leader is at 77.

Had the best trip in maryland while hunting, i got four deer with my bow two bucks and two does. It was insane. I shot a 4 pointer and a doe on the first morning there within 20 minutes of each other, The buck ran about 70 yards and the doe ran 0 yards she never knew she was hit, never had that happen. I thought I missed her she just stood there and about 30seconds later fell over. I took another doe two day later on a pond edge she ran about 80 yards. Then on Wednesday I shot this 6 pointer with the wide rack at last light. My dad was hunting about 65 yards away and shot a nice 8 pointer about 30 min. before I shot the 6. I shot the 6 on the same pond and he jumped into the pond and swam to the other side, only about 35 yard and ran into the bean field, fell over and got back up and walked away, I started tracking about 45 min to an hour later and jumped him about 100 yards into the tracking job. it was dark by now and decided to wait till morning. came back at first light and found him about40 yards from where I jumped him. Coyotees found him first, in the night they ate out his shoulder where the broadhead opened him up and some of his rear end, I hit him right behind the shoulder and exited under his opposite arm pit. I would have thought he would have been dead right away but maybe a little low. I am having him mounted. Just a great time!

Blind squirrel finds a nut.....upgrade for me!!! I took my little fella out this morning rekindling the Thanksgiving Tradition that my Dad did with me and my brothers when we were 6 years old. We went to a ground blind (Hub Style Pop-Up Blind) overlooking some W.I. Wintergreens, No-Plow and Whitetail Oats. Couldn't believe we even saw a deer but around 7:40 a doe came out about 150 yards out. After a couple minutes I noticed a deer's body behind her just over the crest of a little knob in the food plot. I figured it was her fawn at first until I glassed it with my scope. It looked too big to be a fawn. Then he picked up his head.......he was not a fawn! Turned out to be the sticker buck we had a couple pictures of going into November. He never took another step! I won't be able to post pics for a while but he looks to be a solid 3 1/2 year old with very good mass, 22"-23" beams, 17 5/8" inside spread and what I believe is 12 scoreable points. He has short but bladed tines and two stickers coming off his left G2. Very cool buck. My first since 2005. I have much to be thankful for! Thank the Lord! Hope everyone else is enjoying a bountiful Thanksgiving.

Oh and the Packers are 11-0. Hows about that!!

I plan to get out muzzleloading next week/weekend and try to put a doe or two on the ground in an area that has too many. Hope everyone else is having a good season.
