Hardwood_HD
I took my buddy, gobblerbuster618, out to my moms for an early goose hunt on the second day of our early goose season, I had been scouting between 60-70 geese hitting my moms pond that buts up to a hay field for the last 3 weeks so I knew it would be a slam dunk. About 7:45am the first flock sets in we pop out of the layout blinds and dropped 5 in the pond and had one cripple in the hay field. Our limit is 4 a day per hunter so we needed 2 more birds, before I had time to go finish that cripple the second flock sets into the pond and 2 shots later we had our last 2 geese down. We were pumped so I went up to get the cripple and it was gone :bummed: I was so mad, Kyle said he saw it fly off. All the birds that were hitting the pond/field came in 2 flocks and we ended with 7 geese 1 short of the limit. We were bummed about not getting the crippled bird and it was the first bird I have ever lost waterfowl hunting but it was still fun. RTF
Are those decoys in the back behind you guys ?
Hardwood_HD
yep those are my deeks, only put a dozen or so out because i was the only one calling. I really dont think we needed any decoys considering the way they had been hitting the pond before season opened. not one bird came back to the pond since the day we whacked them.
