Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
How many have done it? This is the second time in 6 months I have received a summons in the mail for it. The first time my panel letter wasn't called so I didn't have to report, this time it was. So that is where I am right now. Sitting in a large room with about 100 others waiting to see who they are going to call back.
Tominator
I've been called 4 times, and I've never had to sit on a jury yet. Closest was back in February of this year, like you, sitting with about 30 others and the judge came in and let us know the defendant decided to settle instead of go through with the trial. Funny you ask, because I just got another summons last week. I have to call Friday night to see if a jury is needed for the 19th.

Texan_Til_I_Die
Last one I got called for was a really nasty child custody fight. Mom, who had custody, wanted to move all the way across the country. Dad, who seemed like a nice enough guy, was working a low paying job and couldn't afford to fly himself or the two kids back and forth for visits more than once or twice a year, at most. I was so glad I didn't get picked for that one.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Well I'm home already lol. Actually was only there for an hour and a half. They started calling out numbers and I heard mine, and I thought it was for the people who need to go up for the questioning. Then I realized it was for the ones they didn't need and were being sent home. I still have to call again tonight to see if I have to go back tomorrow. WHISKEYSWAMP
I've never done it but did recieve a notice that I could be called anytime September through December... I got out of this month due to an acceptable excuse, but that still leads me into deer season. Guess I just have to wait and see.
redkneck
Been summoned about 3 times, served on the grand jury once. It was pretty neat, got to indict lots of folks for doing bad stuff.
The_Kat
Well I have never been summoned for jury duty but I had to go to court about once every two weeks for various court cases and then of course monthly traffic court for those who fought their tickets. Hoosierbuck
I don't think I will ever get picked, but did get a letter once. For some reason they didn't want me to show up. My wife has to go through it every couple years, and they send her home, too. HB

hungry hunter
Been summonded once, But they released me since I was the arresting officer.
WIwhitetailhunter
I've been summoned once. Seems my profession as a correctional officer for the state of WI posed a problem for the defense, so I was dismissed during jury selection. I can say this...reporting for jury duty and going through the jury selection process was interesting.
