mossyhorn
Heading into the 3rd weekend of archery here in Ky. After a day full of drizzle the temperature finally dropped. Opening weekend was in the 90's and bugs were awful. Tonight its going to be in the 40's with a high of 66 degrees tomorrow. For the weekend at night upper 40's and the high will be mid 70's. Its almost at the perfect time of year.

Tominator
It was a cool 44 here this morning. Walking to the truck in the dark, sure would have rather been heading to a stand vs. heading to work. Next week for us. Hope these cool temps hang around. wtnhunt
Too bad our archery opener is not tomorrow. Overcast and in the low 50's here this morning. High supposed to only get to around 70 today, great weather. Archery opener here is next weekend, both the forecasts I am watching so far look to see somewhat poor weather for the opener, thunderstorms and a bit warmer temps, of course those forecasts will change between now and next week. dbHunterNY
There was a chill in the house this morning. Any normal and sane individual would stay in the warm bed as long as possible. I wanted to throw my camo on and go looking for deer. It was still dark out too. Pretty soon the fall foliage is going to send a brown leaf at my face, it'll smell like fall, geese will honk over head, and then my switch will be flipped completely. I still have a whole month until the opener here and i'm already growing very impatient.

mossyhorn
My buddy in Bracken county dropped 2 deer on his farm already opening week. Yeah we are cleaning up on our new lease. Three of us dropped does the first weekend. This weekend end turned out to be amazing. Seen several deer yesterday. Only one was a shooter and of course he came in right behind me. Had it not been for a small 8 point I may have got a shot off. He was walking straight to the food plot and this little 8 was right under me. The 8 started walking over to him and walked right into the trial I used to come in. He started acting skittish and the bigger buck (actual size unknown, but lots of mass) paused. One gust of wind later he was gone.
