wtnhunt
......look at this buck. Never got any pics of the deer in velvet, he showed up on the 5th after corn came off most of the farms behind us, have not pulled the card again from that camera since that pull. Real interested to see if he has been back around. Hope we can a little better look at him one way or another, cannot really tell about his spread from these 2 pics but pretty sure he is gonna be the best deer we may see this fall. Rare we see mature bucks with typical racks with more than 4 to a side. Good beam length, guessing they are 21+ inches. Fair tine length. Pretty decent mass. Not a monster in Indiana or Ohio, but a real solid buck for this area. May make pope and young, maybe???
Tominator
Our new network is back to blocking pics, so I'll have to check this out when I get home William. Good luck. Hope he sticks around for you.
hoosierhunter
I think the main beams are good for sure. I love the dark rack! Man I wish you had a head on or facing away pic to be able to judge a little better. I gotta defer to you on this one. That's a nice deer in just about every area. Remember only about 10% of hunters have ever shoot at a deer that big, let alone kill him.
wyohunter
i'd like to see what he looks like next season, but in a heavily hunted area that might not be possible....
Ethan Givan
Nice looking buck. Hope you get a crack at him this fall

Hopefully he hangs around, probably gonna check that cam tomorrow.

Tominator
Yep, that's a good one. High 120's, low 130's I'd say.
wtnhunt
Yep, that's a good one. High 120's, low 130's I'd say. I kinda figured low to mid 130's, I usually guess higher than you, but try to err towards the low end when looking at deer here at home. Likely he was one of the 8's we saw or got pics of last year, most of those deer were 16 inches or wider. Deer won't have much for deductions, net should be real close to the gross. i'd like to see what he looks like next season, but in a heavily hunted area that might not be possible.... Pretty heavy pressure around us and we don't have much land. Larger farms behind us have quite a few hunters on each and they tend to crowd our lines. Really hope one of the girls gets a crack at this buck, wife is due to have a wallhanger.
Rhino
Let's be real William...for your neck of the woods...that's a very fine buck. I came up with over 130 with a 15" spread. The only tuff part is brow tines...you can see everything else. I sure hope he walks in front of you or one of the family 1st!
dbHunterNY
it's a good one... best of luck to you all hunting him. hope he's hanging around and not passing through.

Stinger-Hunter
Great buck. Pic is still decent and very close. At least he's not right up on the camera trying to figure out what it is
wtnhunt
All total I think we got around 35-40 pics of this deer over the past couple months, never at the same time and the closest to daylight on our property was around 5:25 am. i'd like to see what he looks like next season, but in a heavily hunted area that might not be possible.... Unfortunately afraid that is probably gonna be unlikely, hearing that he was killed this past Wednesday about 2 miles as a crow flies away from us across a pretty heavy traveled highway and through some rural housing. There is a video of the hunt and deer, and if in fact it is the same deer some of the guesses on score are pretty darned close. Have watched the video and compared to my trail cam pics several times. The deer scored 132 net from what I am hearing. Person who killed the deer said they had hundreds of trail cam pics of the deer, so likely he was bedding closer to them and just passing through here. Rhino
Oh well William...hope he's just the start of bucks with more than 4 to a side to show up near you. I can remember when it was rare on our place here is MS too. It's not really that rare here anymore.
