need2hunt
ok first I have to say that I do really love Summit stands. In fact I'm looking at possibly picking one up before season. Soooo about a month ago I noticed the ads here on RT for the new Viper SDC. Click on the ad, takes me to the summit website and the only info I can find is one line about a 30th anniversary dipped stand coming soon. So now I see the LARGER Summit stand ad that says THE WAIT IS OVER Summit Viper SDC... Click on the ad and get the same results as before - brilliant marketing ploy guys - Really? need2hunt
Evidently someone at Summit must have read my post lol - the SDC is now on their website. Looks nice but I can't see paying the extra $120 just because it's dipped. Oh well, looks like I'll be going with the regular Viper instead
dbHunterNY
yea things like that don't go unnoticed for very long. if you drop something or hit it and a deer is within bow range I still say you're getting busted. good idea, but yea. i really would like the idea of having an openshot XL. the openshot platform is a little tight to move around and get into position, but i don't feel some need all the features and added weight for the upper seat portion. bigger platform with the same lightweight yet comfortable seat. The_Kat
Summit stands are great . I burned mine up in a grass fire this fall so it's time for a new one.
