Good group

Since I missed a doe last Sunday, I figured I would do some more practicing for this weekend, even though I know why I missed. Anyway, I usually shoot only one arrow at each bullseye, because there are five on the target and I don't like breaking arrows. I decided to shoot four shots at the center just to see what my groups would look like. Here's a few pictures of the first group I shot.

Maybe next time I shoot at a deer from a treestand I'll remember to aim a little low.

Re: Good group

grin.gif They used to match when they were all new. I've had some refletched while others are not. I remember the guy at the pro shop asking me what color I wanted. I said, "It really doesn't matter, they are bound to get broke or lost anyway."

I wanted to try different color nocks also, to see if some are easier to see than others. My conclusion is, when it's lost, it's lost.

Re: Good group

Besides a fine group, that's a good target, isn't it? I have one as well - good price at Wallyworld. smile.gif I've shot at least a couple thousand times into that 4x4 and it's still in good condition.

As for practicing with broadheads, I use a dull set of Muzzy blades. They come with practice blades, but they're a different shape than the real thing and I don't trust them. After practice, I just replace the dull blades with a set of new ones.
