Jeramie
We really havent had a fall in quite a while. We typically go from cold to hot to cold. This year may be the first fall like temps I have found in QUITE a while. We are dipping into the 50's at night. One day last week had a high of 60! The warmest day this week is going to be around 84. We are finally getting some much needed rain, etc.... A few years back I gave up on early bow season because of the heat (October 1st) but with the weather swinging this year I may have to revisit early bow season! I can stay in a stand with 50 degree mornings. I just couldnt handle it when our mornings were already breaking the 70 mark. Exciting! wtnhunt
Hope the latest forecasts for this weekend hold. Has been up and down here the past little bit, but supposed to get really nice for a few days towards the end of this week. Lows for Friday and Saturday are supposed to be in the mid 40's and highs only in the low 70's. Hopefully the water around us from last nights and this morning's flooding will have gone down enough and not too many deer pushed off away from us by this weekend. Lot of streets and places underwater here this morning I cannot recall ever seeing underwater in the past.
Ethan Givan
Had a couple mornings at the end of this past week that dipped into the upper 40s. I went outside friday night and i could see my breath. We are getting a fair amount of rain too, but no flooding. Before it started raining this weekend, I saw alot farmers out on the combines starting to take corn out. That always gets me excited. Jeramie
We are finally seeing a little rain too. We are still 8" behind but its nice to see after the drought. Western Oklahoma and NW Texas are still in a serious bind. I was talking to a customer in Houston this morning. It was raining there. She was thrilled. Just checked the weather. Looks like we are going to be in the 80's tomorrow again and then back in the 70's We actually have a fair chance of dipping into the 40's Thursday night! dbHunterNY
nooooo.... i'm sure you all from okieland miss the dry 100+ degree days, just like we in the northeast miss the relative heat and ridiculous humidity.
RangerClay
We are starting to get some color in the leaves. A few on the ground as well. We had two frost warnings last week. Next Tuesday cannot get here quick enough!!
Adjam5
Ahhh Yes...Fall the time of year when WE get to make the leaves red . The leaves are changing here also Joe. The Catskills is about 20% already. The Maples are getting their yummy yellow leaves ready to drop. The deer suck em up like candy. Good Luck on your Northern opener Joe. Jeramie
Our leaves are starting to change because of the drought. When you looked outside a couple of weeks ago it looked like fall but the air temp told a different story! Now you can step out in the mornings and its cool. I cant wait for the 40's on Thursday! This is my kind of weather. The leafs fall, the deer move, the air changes, and even the dirt starts to smell different! Hunting starts in just over a week! Shaun_300
Yep here too! We were below freezing a few nights, leaves are changing pretty quick, usually start changing by the end of august up here. Duck season opens Saturday, hopefully the rain holds off!
