1402731
How many feet up in tree are most of the guys on TV in mn untill this year we had a 16 ft restriction
Tim Andrus
usually varies on the hunter and terrain. I myself use alot of 16 ft ladder stands . About 7 years ago I slid down a tree ( no safety harness , very dumb move on my part) Since then I havent been over 18 ft. And since that slide Ive worn a safety vest! 1402731
It was state law
stevebeilgard
i'm not a treestand user, but if i did have to i'd be 12-18 feet up depending on cover. in any case, do not break the state law. i've had hunters in windmills as low as 8 ft, and they never got detected. dbHunterNY
i know of prostaffers on a few occasions killing big bucks from 10-12 feet. it depends a lot on background cover and the canopy height. around here if you go over 20 feet you can't see anything, but directly under you.
