LETMGROW
Still got a couple tweaks to make. We just wanted to get one in place as soon as we could seeing as how bow season is open. Got to sneak around during the lull times to do a couple things. Planning to raise the second this coming weekend. Predictions of weather says temps. into the 70's. Probably won't be much moving anyway. This one will present a little bigger challenge as it is going to have 12' 4x4 legs. I'll send out pics as soon as I can. Thanks for the good comments. wtnhunt
This one will present a little bigger challenge as it is going to have 12' 4x4 legs. Can you get the backhoe there? Legs already attached? I lifted the box onto the platform with the loader for the box blind I posted pics of for you. If the legs attached and you can get the backhoe in there, might be able to use the boom to slowly raise it. Would just somehow have to secure the legs on the side not being raised so it would not try to spin on you, either that or if you are working with flat ground you could pull it off the trailer with a loader or backhoe. LETMGROW
The plan as of today is to use the backhoe. We'll take the blind to the site, lay it on it's front and attach the legs and bracing while it is on the trailer. We'll use the boom to upright it gently. The top of the blind will be higher than the boom will reach after it is standing but I can get the forks under the floor to move it with the bucket. I have a pallett to put between the forks and floor to add some heigth. It's going to be a little tricky but we are thinking it will work out. If it doesn't, we will have some extra firewood on hand! gobblerroller
Very nice. We built a box blind on top of an old tobacco trailer a few years back. It's very mobile, but the negative is the height. You can't see above a whole lot of thick stuff if it's thick.
LETMGROW
No. 2:Todays progress. This one was a bit trickier. It took a little more thought and engineering. The bucket wouldn't go quite as high as we would have liked so we had to do some trimming. Not such a bad thing though. We trimmed to length to level. Did a little digging and Yes, she is level and solid. Finished the stairs just before dark and they will go into place tomorrow. To be continued!Lynn

LETMGROW
My son ( Born2hunt ) took my grandson out sunday and my grandson shot his first deer. A nice doe. Kinda really made it all worth the effort. Rotten weather! 5" of rain and high winds Saturday, not much better Sunday. No way we would have been out without the enclosed blinds.
