We have been pen raising two hogs for several months. We we got them they were all of 20-25lbs. I took the bar off yesterday, he weighed in at 272!

I have been feeding them nothing but corn for about the past 3-4 weeks. In two weeks time I will have fresh Ham, Bacon, Pork Ribs, roast, etc.... I CANT WAIT!

The gilt will go at the end of November. I expect her to weigh in at about 250 - 260 at that point! Even more fresh pork.... Hard to beat the homegrown meats....

hahaha ....... true story, when I was a kid, my Dad raised an oinker and we called him Arnold. My brother and I used to ride him bareback like a horse ............ well, one day Arnold just disappeared and we didn't know where until my Dad told us one day that we were eating Arnold ..... I wanna tell you ........ there was 2 young boys doing alot of crying, and needless to say, we never ate Arnold again that year lol.
