Tominator Posted October 5, 2011 Report Share Posted October 5, 2011 My principal selected me to be one of 3 staff members to receive 9 semester hours of post graduate work at a local university absolutely FREE! Most Ohio teachers (including me) need 6 semester hours every 5 years to renew their licenses. Post graduate hours are around $500/hr depending on the university. But she did narrow it down based on a few criteria parameters. Some of our teachers don't need hours, some have a continuing contract with the state (tenured old dinosaurs), some are too young, some don't have their masters, some are in the process of getting their masters, lol. I was 1 of about 10 in the pool I guess. I don't really care, all I know is, I just got granted at least $3,000. Thanks for the kind words folks.
