HarvDog
I am about to pick up a new smokepole most likely the CVA Accura V2. Any thoughts on a thumbhole verses standard stock?
Ravin R10 man
My ML has a thumbhole stock..really like the feel
Hoosierbuck
I don't like the thumbhole. It gets cold up here and thick gloves don't work as well with a thumbhole. At least not on my short, thick digits. HB
dbHunterNY
thumbhole stocks are a little heavier. other than that i think a regular stock handles better, but a thumbhole holds better. if that makes sense.
jesse8953
I got a thumbhole stock on a t/c omega and I love it!
wtnhunt
Guess it really just boils down to preference for the shooter. Don't own any guns with thumbhole stocks and would not let that be a buying factor.
Jeramie
I bought a CVA Optima with the thumbhole a few years ago. Honestly, I dont mind it but I wouldnt say I was crazy about it. Chances are if I had two of the same rifle with that option I would go to a standard stock. Im not a huge fan of the thumbhole. I really dont have anything against it but its just not anything secial enough to pull me away from tried and true.
