MCH
Saw on another forum that a 7 year old kid harvested his first deer with a bow. Since he's from Oklahoma, that means he would have to be pulling back 40 lbs. That's a stout kid! How many 7 year olds do you know that can pull back 40 lbs? My neighbor is a big kid...biggest kid in his class...but he can't pull back 40.

wtnhunt
How many 7 year olds do you know that can pull back 40 lbs? Ummm. None. Crossbows legal there during archery?
Tominator
Ummm. None. Crossbows legal there during archery? That was my first thought. Maybe some kind of youth rule? So many giants in Oklahoma, who can blame the kid for getting an early start?
MCH
Ummm. None. Crossbows legal there during archery? They're legal, but the boy's picture is posted with a compound bow(appears to be youth?) Just went back and checked...says he shot it with his Hoyt Ruckus bow. redkneck
How many 7 year olds do you know that can pull back 40 lbs? Probably as many 7 year olds up there pulling 40lbs as there are 5 year olds that are knocking down trophies during the early youth season hunting with thier fathers down here. tis what they claim anyway! okiedog
I'm betting the bow was a picture prop.:gun2::shifty:
wtnhunt
says he shot it with his Hoyt Ruckus bow. What about draw lock devices? Dunno otherwise, suppose it might be possible for a kid to build up if they started practicing young enough.
okiedog
What about draw lock devices? Not legal in Oklahoma.

gobblerroller
I used to pose with my grandad's guns and bows when I was little. Could be the same thing. If not, I wouldn't be surprised if he just didn't follow the law.
