mastr001
I will be planting this weekend just north of the city of macon, and need some advice on what to plant to attract deer. There are 4 fields and a power line, and need some thoughts on planting. I have never had to pick out the seed and looking for someone to help me out. Any information about which seed to get would be great. Thanks
gobblerroller
You're getting a little bit of a late start, but try wheat and soybeans. That's what we plant in this part of the state. If there's not much moisture in the ground, you might want to wait until a rain comes up or just hope for the best.
rhine16
I'd go with a mix of oats and rye for sure. About 50# to the acre of each (maybe a little less for rye). Then I might throw in some crimson clover, winter peas, and/or turnips.
