wyohunter
good thing i packed for all conditions, first few days temps tickled the 80 degree mark, then it started raining, but we sat out every morning and evening, didnt see much movement, the acorns were dropping in the one area ( sounded like it was hailing) and i did see a small yearling buck on that stand, but it wasnt what i went to michigan to shoot, it turned out to be the only buck i seen...none the less i had a great time, caught up with friends and family if nothing else
ruttinbuc
Glad you enjoyed yourself, Dan. It would always be nice to get your deer, but the most important thing is you got to experience something different.
wyohunter
just being out with friends and visiting family was worth the trip...a good buck would of been the frosting on the cake
dbHunterNY
that's usually the way it works... that's what makes that "frosting on the cake" so sweet! good times in camp are the best when we bring them up during the holidays when everyone gets back together.
