If you saw my post in the lounge you know my hero, my Granddaddy passed away last Monday. Since we hunted together so much getting back in the woods was tough. Wednesday, Daddy & I decided to go hunting but didn't see anything. Well yesterday we went to the last stand my Granddaddy & Daddy worked on together. We got in & set up by 5:20 but didn't see or hear anything. Around 6:20 my head was beginning to hurt so I laid my head back while Daddy watched for deer. After a few minutes I turned my attention back to the corn. I had shut my eyes for just a moment when Daddy said "There's a buck, a nice buck!". I instantly went into preparing for the shot. He glanced at the blind a time or two & made his way to the corn. Since becoming paralyzed I have muscle spasms. When I was nearly on him my leg broke out into a toe-tapping spasm clanging on my wheelchair. We thought for sure he'd run off but he never picked his head up. I settled in & dropped the hammer!
