Congrats on the 8pter Chris :).

Our season as Tim stated, starts on this Saturday. I have been flinging my sticks and sighted in my rifles...I am ready.

Waited 3 years for a doe tag in my area...got one this year!

Does help ease the "no horns in a while pain"

Good Luck and hunt safe all.

haven't gotten a buck in a while either. i've held out for a big one and ate the tags for a couple years now. this year things will change. i even got a DMP for the albany area and will try to thwack one on bow only public ground. i know how you feel anthony! Best of luck to you and the boys in filling your tags!

Been slow for me compared to past years...I've had young bucks around me but nothing mature. It seems like the does without spotted fawns have been avoiding me so far. Morning hunts have been dead. At least I'm seeing enough game to keep me entertained in the afternoons though.

One bright spot was one of my best friends killed his 1st net P&Y buck this past Saturday. A 5 1/2 year old main frame 10 point. I green scored it at 133 1/8" gross, 129 3/8" net.

It has been a very slow archery season for sure. Have hunted exclusively for elk and have not even heard a bugle and have seen very little sign. I'm not sure if the wolves have eaten them all or just moved them out of the areas I've been hunting. Usually bump a few big bucks while elk hunting and have not even done that this year. Archery season ends this Sunday and then the general rifle season starts next Saturday and I'm hoping things pick up a bit as we roll into November.
