I was considering upgrading to a new bow. I have a 06 or 07 pse bruin can't remember the year I had all new strings and cables put on and a new trophy ridge whisker biscuit rest, truglo bright sight. The bow is 36 inches axle to axle every one is saying upgrade new bows are so much better they're shorter, quite and faster I just wanted some advice should I upgrade or keep what I got. Also the draw lenght is to short by a inch it's set at 29 and I am a 30 or so and I can't find any modules for it I can shoot it pretty good but I'm all cramped up and not steady when at full draw. Any advice or comments are welcome thanks alot guys!

if your draw length is too short you can probably hold steady once first coming to full draw, but then soon after you're floating a little faster and more while aiming. you should be able to go through a PSE dealer and have them order one for you from PSE. I've got a new PSE Evo. It shoots pretty well, better than i can. Your bow is 70% let-off i think and with an IBO speed around 300 fps. almost all bows are capable of 75-80% let-off which will help you hold better and almost all bows are faster than that. today's bows that are fastest have some what harder cams at times or super low brace heights. i would stay with a 6" brace height or larger. faster speeds will get you noticeably less pin gaps. 20-30 yard pins will be close or the same. also super short isn't necessarily the best. bows under 32" that i tested are maneuverable in blinds and treestands, but are very easy to cant clockwise or counter clockwise. this could through off your shot left or right at distance. remember this when shopping. you can adjust the draw length on some new bows without a bow press, which is great for lots of reasons. it all depends on how much money you want to spend for the upgrade too. test some out and if you decide what things or budget you'd like for your bow, let us know. some of us forum members can throw out more options so you know what your getting is best for you and there isn't anything else out there you wished you bought instead. couple more things... i know many that upgrade after 5 years or so. with how much you get for your old one, you're better off keeping it as a spare bow or loan buddy that's a new comer to the sport and has your same stature.

hope that helps!

Thanks buddy for the advice! I've been thinking about it and I think I'll hunt with my bow for the rest of this season. I've already killed a deer with it so I know I should be able to get another one with it. Then when season ends I'll buy a new bow most likely a pse then I'll have all the off season to become deadly with it. But I'll keep you posted if I change my mind and ask what you think about a bow when I decide what one I like.

Glad to hear no mid season switch!!!! If you bought that bow new then going to something different would throw you off big time. It takes time and patience to get aquainted with new equipment. I switched in april and am just now getting comfortable enough with it to trust it in any situation that would arise. Don't just limit yourself to PSE though there are many great companies out there that have AWESOME equipment. I shoot a Bowtech Invasion myself. I also like Elite, and New Breed. Keep your options open. Things to consider: Draw cycle, back wall, how well it holds, and after the shot feel. Find the bow that has all those things and you will be OK.
