aujack
Does anyone else feel like its Christmas morning? They should be released on fb, or their site sometime within the next few hours. Some guys on AT already have some pictures up with no specs though. I have always been a huge Hoyt fan. Other bows just don't feel right to me. I can't wait to see what they are about to reveal! I will almost definitely be getting a 2012 Hoyt sometime within the next 6 months. I can't wait to see how much money I have to save up and spend! aujack
They are here! Not too much of a change, but they do look pretty nice and I am sure they are awesome bows! The new Aluminum line is called the Vector. They have the Vector 32, 35, and Turbo. The Vector Turbo is their new speed bow. It shoots 340fps. All of their new bows also have their new cam design called the RKT cam.
hutchies
As good as they look I have no reason to leave my Turbohawk. Still shoots great and just as fast as all the 7" brace height bows they put out this year.
dbHunterNY
yea the RKT cam actually looks a lot like the fuel cam. not much change it looked like to me too. surprised they didn't come out with a carbon target bow. So far nothing too crazy, unlike this past year with the bow manufacturers. still more to come though.

PotashRLS
I recently tested out the CRX35 and the Carbon Element. I immediately liked the feel and smoothness of the CRX more. I don't care for how light weight these are though. I intend to try out the Rampage XT since it is a tad heavier and reviews put it as comparable to the CRX. I hope to pull the trigger on a new one next spring pending bills and the economy. Anyone know someone shooting the Rampage XT?

Flintlock1776
I have a Hoyt Laser Tech. That should do me well for a one, long time. For those that trade up more often than I ever will, have fun with the new bow!

Anyone know someone shooting the Rampage XT? it's very similar to the CRX. the feel and balance are a little different. i think it's still very quiet and shock free like the other Hoyts. I know of a guy that had it and loved it but upgraded because he felt it was a kid model. i told him he was nuts.
hutchies
There wasn't much change from the XTR cams to the fuel cams either.
dbHunterNY
Hoping to test with some more side by side comparisons with leftover 2011 hoyts. So far the new Vector Turbo @ 60lbs, 30" DL, nothing really on the string, shooting a 310 grain arrow chrono'd at 328 fps.

aujack
I definitely want to shoot the Vector Turbo. If I like the feel and get convinced that the shorter BH/speed doesn't sacrifice accuracy then it will be mine for sure. I will almost definitely get something in the vector lineup. Neither of the carbon bows really jump at me and make me want to spend the extra money. Or at least their specs don't. I haven't shot them yet though. PotashRLS
Does anyone have a good place to order one through? I would like to give my business to a small shop rather than a large one. I'd go local but our local archery "pro" shop lost my business some years ago and I will never go back. I have narrowed it down to the Rampage XT and would buy it if they have the right one at a competitive price.

Not sure if that'd help you with having to ship it though and with tax. Most likely end up being a wash. They did have leftover Rampage XT 2011's earlier this week. Just not sure if they're your specs. Here's the number if you want it 518-869-5363. it's a small shop, but they try to carry a bow for everyone. they've got Darton, PSE, Strother, Hoyt (most of their stuff), and Mathews. I definitely want to shoot the Vector Turbo. If I like the feel and get convinced that the shorter BH/speed doesn't sacrifice accuracy then it will be mine for sure. I haven't shot them yet though. I shoot the new PSE Evo I got from the shop I mentioned above. it's a 6" BH. I can tell the difference, but it's fine for hunting I think. If a bow has a good grip it'll help with shooting the lower brace height too. The speed you get from it is worth it I think. I wouldn't go any lower though.
