Tominator
Had one walk behind me last night as I was getting down, buddy saw close to a dozen. Hearing road kill updates on the radio every morning. It needs to cool down again; moon phase is getting bad.
WHISKEYSWAMP
It has been a little slow the last couple of days. Saw a couple small bucks last night, including another 2.5 year old 10 point. Seems to be 4 or 5 young 10 points running around out back. If they can make it through this year, we'll have a great year in a year or two.
OhioHunter
Seen 5 on monday and 7 on tuesday. Tuesday seen a 120's and then about 630 had a 140's runnin a doe hard. He never left her hind end and was gruntin every step. Id say were gettin close! No rubs or scrapes yet. I am gonna try a mock scrape tho and see how it does. Gonna hit the stand again tonite and hope one of em make a big mistake! Still tryin to get that first buck with a bow! Good luck everyone! kuntry_boy
Business is starting to pick up, last night in Pickaway county I grunted in a 2 1/2 yr old 8 pt. to 10 yds, let him go. Five minutes later a big heavy 10 pt (140s) comes down the same path and busts me moving in the tree. But they are responding to the calling... Ohiobucks
Just watched a small 6 point push a doe through the woods, nose to the ground. Hopefully more to follow...
swohiodave
had a nice looking 8 point holding on a doe today. He would not go anyway other than right next to her and pushed her out of the area after 30+ minutes. It was awful watching him chase her out. He would not budge. Tominator
Got back from Jefferson county late last night. 3 hunts, had shots every hunt. Sunday night 5 deer, all small forkies, save one spike; 1 forkie wanted to fight every buck he saw. Ears pinned, bristled up, snort wheezed once. Monday morning, 4 deer, 1 doe that winded me, 1 little 9 pt skipper, then a small 8, and a nicer 8. Monday evening, same nice 8 from the morning, just not quite what I want to shoot, but I watched him rake his antlers in an apple tree, then urinate on his tarsals. Pretty cool. Tons of road kill there and back, but only 2 or 3 of the bucks were mature. Warm temps and moon phase are hurting us now IMHO. Hopefully the cooler temps and waning moon will trigger the big boys. WHISKEYSWAMP
The bucks still seem to be moving during daylight hours according to trail cam pics and what I've seen from stand (just not near them). Mostly early morning and just before dark. I had a decent one cross in front of me on the way home from work, just before my property around 3:45 in the afternoon. Both my bigger archery bucks were killed on days the day temps were near 70 degrees, so I'll be out sweating it up tonight. I'm going to try a different spot down the road where I seen an 8" diameter tree torn up next to the road. I haven't hunted there yet this year so hoping for a little luck. Tominator
Saw a decent one killed by the Alum Creek causeway this morning, and one standing in the middle of the field, although that one looked like a small deer, maybe even a fawn. It's going down now, get in a tree if you can.

Heather hit one with the saturn this morning. Big 8pt. Probably would score in the 120's. I'm going to BBQ him for dinner tonight.
WHISKEYSWAMP
saw about 12 does and fawns last night along with a couple small bucks harassing them... Just before dark, a decent 8 pt with a busted g2 came out and started dogging the does a little. I'll hunt tonight and have tomorrow off to hunt around here before I head up to Michigan for deer camp Saturday. As with every year, I should be staying around here to hunt but it will be nice to get away for a week.
Ohiobucks
Saw numerous deer last night from the stand, had shots on a doe and a small buck that I passed on. Both of those deer visited the mock scrape I made 3 days ago just 20 yards from my tree. Saw 4 deer on my drive to work this morning, 3 of which were bucks. One was by himself, the other 3 deer were together - a large 8 point dogging a doe while a small basket rack watched. I'll be out there this afternoon...
