aujack
I am in the process of selling my bow and actually came up with a very good idea for selling it, I just don't know if it is legal or not. Here is my idea: I first check to see how many people are interested, and if I can get enough people interested, I would make a deadline, and have anyone that wants to participate write me a letter and include $10 in their letter explaining why they would be the best choice to receive my bow. Then at the deadline I pick the best letter and ship my bow to the winner, that way I have money to put towards a new bow, and the winner gets a new bow that they essentially paid $10 for. This may very well be illegal, which is why I am asking this. Please let me know if this is legal or not! Thanks!!
Tominator
What if you only get 2 letters? You just sold your bow for $20. :ninja:
Jeramie
I wondered the same thing Chris. The idea sounds neat but it would take 20 - People just to make $200! I had a bow once (McPherson Mark 9, great old bows) I wanted to sale. I posted it everywhere. Had no luck so I put it on Ebay. I started it low with a half dozen arrows... never saw a single bid. A week later I re-listed it, raised the price slighly and took out the arrows, raised the shipping.. I had bids almost immediatly and got decent money for the bow. I woudl go to ebay... aujack
It's on ebay now. As well as a million other places. I have decided not to gr through with this idea just incase it did cause problems because I don't want that at all. Thanks for the input though! The_Kat
you could hold a raffle. Sell 20 tickets for 10$ and draw for it. I think there are some legality issues there too possibly. The raffle a lot of things out here on the pipeline. Money, 4 wheelers, rifles, etc......BUT like I said I am not sure it's totally legal. bowhunter97
good idea but it would still take alot of people to get even half the money it's worth. Also in my book it would be like stealing from whoever didn't win because you'd be taking their money and not giving them anything for it.
