Tominator
High school students say some goofy things from time to time. When they say goofy things, or things that come back to bite them later, I put their statements on the board and call it my quote board. On any given year, I have 4 or 5 quotes that are worthy of making the board. This is a banner year, however, as there's already five quotes. Here they are: "I don't need it..." Tom when he was talking about using a calculator. Tom missed 2 on that assignment. "The sun is what I think it is..." Stacey, and I have no idea what she was talking about. "This is not this folder..." Maci, who, apparently, has a magical folder. "I don't make mistakes..." Joe, who will have that statement come back on him on a daily basis, today in fact, twice so far. "Are bought and purchase the same word?" Jordan, and it needs no explanation. And a blast from the past, my favorite from 2 years ago: "How many quarters are there?" Sarah when asking about her quarter grade. I love teaching.
dbHunterNY
yea at work we have a board where we pin up emails and documents from clients with some interesting reading on them. some make you feel illiterate and they're just incomprehensible. Many of these are from a person in administration from a particular school district; scary! this one contractor sent us a page stating this issue he had regarding a project. he was a humble man. at the end actually typed "This probably didn't make any sense." stevebeilgard
with quotes like that, you gotta love teaching. lots of humor there, and a bit of arrogance. joe must know by now how wrong he was.
hammerforged
Reminds me of Art Linkletter's show "Kids say the Darndest Things". Anyone else old enough to remember that show?

Hoosierbuck
Down in the detective bureau they have a whole dry erase board of funny quotes and made up words by one of the guys. Great stuff! Linkletter put out a book or two, also. One of them was called, "A Child's Garden of Misinformation." Too funny. HB
Ohiobucks
How about this one: "No need to pick a spot, that is a skipper..."
Texan_Til_I_Die
One I still remember from my high school daze back in the 70's... Teacher: "What is Specific Gravity?" Student: "Gravity at the bottom of the Specific Ocean."
