Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
The door speakers on right side of the truck went out (2007 GMC Sierra crew cab). I plan on installing new ones myself, since I plan on not spending a whole lot, and installation would cost more than the speakers. Any tips on how to get the panels off without messing anything (like the clips inside) up?
Shaun_300
Best bet is to get a trim tool kit that looks like this, they don't cost too much. Do me a favor and take a pic of your door panel for me, depending on trim levels they are different, if I get a pic of your panel I'll show you where all the bolts and stuff are to make it as easy as possible. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Thanks Shaun. We ended up getting it off without a problem. Had planned on using some cheap aftermarket speakers, until we got in there and realized the factory ones are made with some sort of big bracket. Got a decent deal on one though from the dealership down the road though.
Shaun_300
Glad you got it fixed up Lee, yeah surprisingly factory speakers aren't too expensive. Actually sound pretty good too.
